Welcome to this blog. My name is Hayley, I’m from a long line of Pakeha who call the depths of New Zealand’s South Island home, I am writing from Wellington, from Victoria University, from the tiny home my husband and I share on the edge of Aro Valley.

me again

This blog is about getting and giving access to better languages for understanding our world; just like the unequal distribution of money and land and power, good words for knowing what’s going on around us can be made more or less accessible.

In this blog I draw from political theory, scripture, some kiwi poets and painters, friends, and family.

A big thank you to Rooftops, a collective of Christian writers, for providing me with funds and support to begin this blog.
